Patchway Town Council are pleased to announce that they will be opening up a 'Pop Up' Community Warm Room inside The Casson Centre on Rodway Road for the entire winter period this year.
This scheme comes amid the cost of living crisis and it is hoped that this scheme is a useful lifeline for some of our residents.
The warm room will be run by volunteers and will be somewhere residents can come and keep warm as well as enjoying a hot drink, reading a book, taking part in crafts or just generally making friends with other residents.
It is envisaged that it is open each weekday and will be open for all to use. There is no requirement to meet any criteria and it is totally free for all residents in Patchway. Patchway Town Council want the community to come together this winter to support each other.
We are on the lookout for people who wish to volunteer as well as donations of books, jigsaws, craft materials and board games. If you can assist in any way, please email office@patchwaytowncouncil.gov.uk.
