South Gloucestershire Council have received funds from local development to improve pedestrian links in the Cribbs Causeway area. They are proposing this footway link to form part of those improvements.
The purpose of the scheme is to connect the existing footway at the Audi Showroom entrance to
the wider footway network located to the north. It will make access to the Audi Showroom, The Mall and surrounding retail units safer for pedestrians. This proposal comprises the construction of a new 1.5m footway between the Audi Showroom vehicular entrance and Merlin Road. Existing lighting columns along this section will be relocated to the back of proposed footway.
