Local Plan Consultation
Consultation is now open on the new Local Plan for our area. It will establish the number of homes and jobs that are needed, where these should be located, and the infrastructure to support this. The plan also sets out how the district responds to preserve and protect our climate and local natural world. Proposals to tackle ‘car cruising’
We’re proposing to implement a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) to tackle problems with ‘car cruising’. Car cruises are when drivers, passengers and spectators meet, often spontaneously, in car parks or public spaces to race, perform stunts or show off their vehicles. They often result in increased reports of anti-social behaviour such as speeding and noise.
