South Gloucestershire Council are offering holiday activities and food clubs (also referred to as HAF) for children aged 5 to 16 years who live in South Gloucestershire.
This programme aims to provide healthy food and enriching activities during the school holidays to children who are aged between 5 to 16 years old and receive benefits-related free school meals.

Activities in Patchway include:
Unique Voice – Coniston Primary School
Unique Voice sessions include: – Performance arts themed sessions. – Indoor and outdoor play. – Summer themed games and crafts. – Creative food activities. – A team of highly skilled, DBS checked, first aid trained and friendly Unique Voice facilitators. UV sessions also include a free healthy, balanced lunch and snacks. Please make sure to pack a water bottle where possible.
Children must be aged 5 – 11 years old at the beginning of the programme.
Children must be in receipt of benefits-related Free School Meals.
We offer 4 days for each eligible child and do not host children for single sessions unless previously discussed.
We will initially offer one week per child. If spaces become available later in the summer, we will begin accepting return bookings.
Unfortunately, at this time, we are unable to provide 1:1 support at our programmes.

South Gloucestershire Playscheme – Coniston Community Centre
Our playscheme is a place for 5-11 year olds to take part in FREE, fun activities during the summer holidays for children living or attending school in South Gloucestershire. Each day children will take part in sports, games and arts & crafts. Please do not send them in their best clothes as they may get messy. We will provide a cold lunch each day which will be either pasta or sandwiches with plenty of fruit. Please provide a drink for your child to bring with them. No fizzy drinks please.
FACE – Patchway Youth Centre
The sessions will be run at the youth centre from 2-6pmpm and facilitated by Youth Workers, Dawn, June and Arthur. The day will consist of learning to cook a meal for the group, making craft, a music workshop, and fun active games! Young people will be supported to cook a healthy main meal for the group and take some home to show their families. The team will organise fun activities throughout the day and will be encouraged to work with others and make new friends. This group is for secondary school ages only.
Engage in fun a Graffiti workshop with Olas Art: A Graffiti Company - to design own artwork and have the opportunity to take some home. We will also be designing and spraying a wall in the building - learn some new skills and have fun! The session will also include cooking own food and active activities. This group is for secondary school ages only.
Please join us for some exciting offsite activities with The Face Charity. Activities include: 26th July Climbing and Abseiling at The Mendips 2nd August Paddleboarding at The Harbourside Bristol 9th August Ninja Warriors 23rd August West Country Water Inflatables All activities will include a packed lunch - further information will be sent out once places are allocated to include kit lists and pick up points. These activities are for secondary school age only.

How it works
Read books to collect stickers (including some stinky ones) and rewards.
Join at a South Gloucestershire library during staffed hours from Saturday 8 July and pick up your free bag of goodies including your Ready, Set, Read! seeds.

South Gloucestershire Council have also partnered with Aerospace Bristol to give eligible families the chance to enjoy a FREE visit to Aerospace Bristol museum. Up to 2 adults and 3 children per family can visit Aerospace Bristol on any date the museum is open to the public. This offer is only open to families of children who attend a South Gloucestershire school and are on benefits-related free school meals. If your family is eligible for this offer you can book your tickets on the Aerospace Bristol website. You will be asked to select your visit date when ordering your tickets. Each child (in a South Gloucestershire School) on free school meals will be given a supermarket e-voucher via their school.
