Response from First Bus on the re-routing of the No. 75 (Hengrove – Bristol City Centre – Cribbs) bus route

Following comments from residents, Patchway Town Council contacted First Bus regarding the recently announced re-routing of the No. 75 bus from 1 September 2024.

The response can be read in full below.

‘Thank you for contacting First Bus. I am sorry to hear that Patchway Town Council have received a negative response from local residents in relation to the route change and would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused by this. I have liaised directly with the Head of Network in relation to the concerns raised. They have informed me that no consultation took place, however the re-routing was investigated after a request from South Gloucestershire Council and the commissioning of a bus gate through Charlton Hayes. It was estimated the change would be of a net benefit to people in the area, with alternative stops available within walkable distances. I hope that this has provided some clarification as to why this route was amended. We value our customers feedback, and we would like to ask if you would please take this opportunity to complete a short online survey about your experience with us today. If you would like to give us your feedback, please go to https://www.tellfirstbus.com/customerservice. I would like to thank you in advance for taking the time to complete this form.'
