Patchway Town Council have been awarded £9,564.74 in S106 monies from South Gloucestershire Council to create an ‘Older Persons sporting area’ within Norman Scott Park.
The funding comes from the Northfield development and will benefit those over 60 years of age within our community! The aim is to get everyone active and whilst Scott Park has many facilities for the younger generation, it is hoped that this new facility will be used well by our older generation in Patchway.
Although the project is in its very early stages, we will be trying to create a multi-sport court that can be used for a range of sports from yoga and fitness to small paddle games.
We will keep residents informed of the project as we progress.
