Patchway Town Council secures grant funding for sports coaching workshops

Patchway Town Council are pleased to announce we have received £1440 in funding from South Gloucestershire Council to provide school holiday sports coaching sessions in October half term and at Easter 2024.

The Early Help Community Networks (EHCN) grant will help us to provide sports coaching at the 3G Sports Facility at Scott Park including football, touch rugby and athletics drills.

Patchway Town Council will work with the Sports Coaches providing the sessions to evaluate how young people’s confidence has improved through participating in the programme.

We will publish details of when sessions are happening and how to book as soon as these are arranged.

Mayor of Patchway Cllr Dayley Lawrence said, ’Supporting our young people through providing these brilliant sports coaching opportunities is part of the Council’s commitment to our young persons provision in the town. We are delighted to have again been successful in gaining grant funding’.

South Gloucestershire Council EHCN grants are to help build capacity within the Early Help system and support improved outcomes for children, young people and families. See more at https://beta.southglos.gov.uk/early-help-community-networks-grants/
