Patchway Town Council launches Community Larder at Scott Park

Patchway Town Council has launched a new Community Larder at Norman Scott Park for residents facing the challenge of the cost of living crisis and access to daily food supplies.

The Larder will be based in the lobby of Snack Attacks café at the Pavilion from Tuesday 16th July and open from 10am – 12pm Monday to Friday. The Larder will stock basic dried foodstuffs including pasta, rice, tinned food, UHT milk, sugar and tea and coffee.

The Council has successfully applied for a Community Food Fund Grant from South Gloucestershire Council to support stocking the Larder which will be overseen by Councillors and Council staff.

Mayor of Patchway Cllr Dayley Lawrence said, ’We are pleased as a Council to be able to provide support for residents who may need a helping hand due to the cost of living crisis’.
