On Saturday 2nd July, Patchway Town Council were all set for the first community market in Scott Park for this year. The weather, on the other hand, had different ideas and the park was left in a downpour of rain for the whole event.
However, with that said some traders did remain until 2pm and were thoroughly supported by our residents who had braved the conditions to look at what was on offer. Local residents bought cakes, hand crafted wooden items as well as supporting local charities. Despite the rain, the commitment from the traders had to be commended and as a way of recompense for the weather, Patchway Town Council will be inviting all those present to attend a market later in the year, totally free of charge!
A very special shoutout goes to Shelley of Mini Concerts who braved the elements to perform with a smile on her face for the stall holders and residents!
We are very sorry for all those who did not get to attend due to the weather. We have put some plans in place for future events to ensure there is not a wash out for those who attend! We have put some images below of some of the amazing traders who attended the event!
