Mayor of Patchway and Town Clerk visit The Link Club for Easter fun

Mayor of Patchway Cllr Dayley Lawrence and Town Clerk Sue Howard visited The Link Club at the Casson Centre on Rodway Road on Wednesday for the final session for the group before their Easter break.

The Mayor and Clerk had great fun chatting with the group members led by Caroline and Martin Poole, and even managed a few games in the visit including pin the tail on the bunny and a much anticipated pool match between the Mayor and the Clerk.

Under the keen scrutiny of The Link Club umpires, the Clerk prevailed on this occasion and a re-match is rumoured in the coming months. We’ll let you know when that takes place.

Mayor of Patchway Cllr Dayley Lawrence said, ‘It was fantastic to visit the Link Club next door from the Council office in the Casson Centre. This group are a wonderful asset to their community, and for the Clerk and I to have the chance to meet the group before their Easter break was a real treat. And congratulations to the Clerk for her victory on the pool table today’.
