Letizia Scagliarini from Patchway Community School is awarded the Patchway Town Council Twinning Award 2024

Letizia Scagliarini from Year 8 at Patchway Community School has been awarded the Patchway Twinning Trophy from Patchway Town Council and Friends of Patchway Twinning in recognition of outstanding achievement in Modern Foreign Languages.

Letizia is one of Patchway Community School’s dual linguist students and is enthusiastic about doing Spanish and French GCSEs. She attends Modern Foreign Languages club after school every week and has been doing foundation level reading activities that she has already been able to successfully complete.

The Award recognises Letizia’s knowledge in other languages is already almost at GCSE level due to hard work during lessons and at home.

Presenting the Award to Letizia in front of her classmates in Year 8 assembly at the School, Mayor of Patchway Cllr Dayley Lawrence said, ‘It is so brilliant to be awarding this trophy to Letizia to reward her fantastic efforts in foreign languages, and we wish her every luck for her future exams and making use of her language skills overseas’.

Patchway Twinning Awards will also be awarded to students at Callicroft Primary School and Coniston Primary School in June.
