Initial Consultation on the revocation of a byelaw on Norman Scott Park, Patchway.

Patchway Town Council are proposing the amend the byelaw on Norman Scott Park to allow dogs to be able to exercise on the pathway only and within a fenced off area within the park.

The Council have made this decision to try and increase footfall through the park.

The existing byelaw on Norman Scott Park, on byelaw 5 IV, made under Section 164 of the Public Health Act 1875 on the eighth day of November 1985, reads 'A person shall not cause or suffer any dog belonging to him or in his charge to enter or remain in the ground with the exception of guide dogs for the blind'.
