Grant Award Winners - Round One

Patchway Town Council are delighted to announce that £6996 has been re-invested back into our community through our grant awarding process. You can read more below, about the groups that have been given a grant and what the granted monies will be spent on for your community.


Bristol BMX Club - Granted £746.


Bristol BMX Club, who meet at the BMX Track on Waterside Drive, have been awarded £746 towards four lighting column pads, for their new floodlights. They will also be purchasing new helmets for the children to wear.


South Gloucestershire Play Scheme - Granted £4000.


The South Gloucestershire Play Scheme (Patchway Area) has been awarded £4000 to run free holiday clubs for children. These sessions run daily in the holidays and all children who attend are given a free meal, lots of arts and crafts and entertainment to keep them busy. The £4000 will go towards the cost of putting on these free sessions for Patchway children.


Mamas Bristol CIC - Granted £250.


Mamas Bristol CIC, who are located at The Casson Centre, have been awarded £250 to purchase sensory toys for their HQ sessions. They will also use the money towards starting up some Special Educational Needs focused sessions in the future.


Patchway Cricket Club - Granted £500.


Patchway Cricket Club, who play at Scott Park, have been awarded £500 to help cover the costs of their junior cricket sessions. With the introduction of the Twin-Lane Cricket Net Facility, the young people of Patchway have flocked in their numbers to play cricket in our Town and this grant will help towards the running of these sessions for the children in the area.


ReACH - Granted £500.


The Residents' Association of Charlton Hayes, have been awarded £500 towards their community video project. The video, which is being produced professionally, will tell of the history of the Village of Charlton, how Patchway became to be and tells the story of Charlton Hayes.


Patchway Town Football Club - Granted £1000.


Patchway Town Football Club, who have three teams that play in Patchway, have been awarded £1000 to help with the running costs of the club. This money will be invested into new equipment for matchdays and training, to ensure the club are fully equipped to prepare for their season.
