Patchway Town Council are extremely pleased to announce that they have had no recommendations arising from their Internal Audit Report for the financial year ending 31st March 2023.
Internal Auditing Solutions LTD, who are Patchway Town Council’s appointed Internal Auditor, have raised no issues with the way in which the Town Council conducts themselves, commenting ‘We are pleased to again acknowledge the effectiveness of the existing accounting arrangements with support from an external contractor (DCK Accounting), the quality of retained documentation and overall approach to governance matters’.
The report, which is available at www.patchwaytowncouncil.gov.uk/finance details the way in which the Council is administrated and comments on the overall approach to governance that the Town Council has.
On the report the Mayor of Patchway, Cllr Dayley Lawrence, has stated ‘I am really pleased that as a Town Council, we are being recognised for our robust procedures and process that are now in place. This Council has worked hard over the last few years to ensure that we are transparent in everything we do, when it comes to public money. I am really pleased that as a Council and staff team we have been able to provide a quality approach to the governance of the Council and long may that continue. I would like to thank all of the staff and Councillors who have worked tirelessly to improve the processes here at Patchway Town Council.
